take your game to the next level

Can’t kick, can’t play. It is the reality of football that kicking is the most important aspect of the modern game. It is a skill that isn’t often taught properly and understanding the principles of correct kicking is fundamental to developing a good technique.

Jay Schulz is well known for his exellent kicking skills both on goal and on ground, being labelled the ‘sharp shooter’. Jay has used his knowledge and expertise to develop a specially tailored program to teach both boys & girls how to kick.

The program

The kicking academy is in a league of it’s own providing a kicking program like no other which fits the needs of not only emerging elite athletes, but for anyone wanting to improve their kicking. Whether you have never kicked a football, or have kicked one every day, there will be something in the program you have never been taught before.

For young athletes, the kicking academy is the optimal setting to learn and train from the best, hone their skills and take their footy to the next level.

“I believe everyone can improve their kicking with the right one-on-one coaching and guidance. I believe my theories and drills can achieve this.” – Jay Schulz

Jay Schulz exploits the Hawks’ depleted defence

Quotation

Schulz stood on the boundary line 40m out, twirled the ball in his hands a dozen times to gather his breath then ran in and kicked the goal.

Quotation

The routine is based on eight to 10 steps before a set shot. And Schulz has built the strength of his routine by knowing his faults in kicking.

Quotation

He was ranked third in the league in 2011 for goal-kicking accuracy of players who booted more than 30 goals in 2011, with 31 goals at 75.6 per cent.

Quotation

More importantly, when he does get a chance, he takes it. Schulz has kicked 24.4 for the season, an 86 per cent accuracy in front of goal.

Testimonials

Dont just take it from us, here are some of our success stories!

I just wanted to thank Jay for for all his efforts with my son Max over the last eight weeks.

Since starting with Jay Max has shown a huge improvement with his kicking technique, in turn this has also boosted his confidence as a player.

I found Jay very enthusiastic in his approach to get the best result for Max.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jay’s one on one coaching lessons to anyone who wants to improve their kicking.

Martin

My 14yo son is currently having 1 on 1 kicking coaching with Jay. He has shown him a number of concepts re his kicking technique that which he would not have been exposed to in his regular club training.

In a short period of time he has added distance to his overall kicking and also strengthened his non preferred side.

He also makes the time to chat to, understand and build confidence in his players. My son is looking forward to this season. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jay.
